Contest

So I entered a contest through my city, and in the high school category I got an Honorable Mention. =D
This is the piece that I entered. I used watercolor, pastels, white gel pen, microns, and colored pencils. The process is described and shown below.

"Midnight Catch"

Process

- On a piece of illustration board, I sketched out the drawing.

- Using rubber cement to act as masking fluid, I used watercolors to paint in the sky and koi fish.

- I painted the moon with watercolors, and used pastels for the heron.

- Finishing touches, and added detail with pen, as well as adding effects to the koi with pastel.

On a side note, I've been eating the good life. Miso soup, OH YEAHHHH
